Title: Development of New Molecules and Materials Using Machine Learning and AI
Speaker: Kouji Tsuda (Professor, Department of Life Sciences, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, The University of Tokyo)
Abstract: Designing new molecules and materials with desired functions holds significant scientific and industrial importance. Key targets include inorganic materials such as metals, ceramics, and nanoparticles, as well as low-molecular-weight organic compounds crucial for drug discovery. This presentation will introduce examples of molecular and material development using Bayesian optimization, Monte Carlo exploration, and deep learning (thermal radiation materials, fluorescent molecules, fluorescent proteins, antimicrobial peptides).
