Title: Challenging the Dilemma of Social Implementation – Consideration through a Case Study in Chichibu City
Speaker: Mr. Masayuki Fukada (Representative director, General Incorporated Association Chichibu Yui Machi)
Abstract: In recent years, high expectations have been placed on AI and robotics technologies such as drones and automated driving, and demonstration tests are being conducted in various regions across Japan. Although institutional design has progressed accordingly, social implementation of actual services has been slow. In order to break through this dilemma of social implementation, it is essential to design operations that involve stakeholders involved in the service, improve the social acceptance of local residents, and build a highly sustainable business model. In this presentation, based on a use case in Chichibu City, we will discuss social implementation methods in mountainous areas where the population is declining.
