Osaka Univarsity AI・Date Seminar 91th, JUN13

Title: Legal Innovation: Justice in the Age of AI
Speaker: Mihoko Sumida (Professor, Graduate School of Social Sciences, Hitotsubashi University)
Abstract: The term “legal innovation” may be unfamiliar to you. That is as it should be, for it is a new jurisprudential concept that we are proposing and that is just now developing. In a nutshell, it is an exploration of the “judiciary” appropriate for the near-future smart society indicated by the Japanese government as Society 5.0. Will it be a human or an AI that solves your problems? Should it be a human? Why is that? Let’s think about these issues together.
